Spiced Pork and Pineapple

Ingrediënten:

• 300g pork loin, sliced
• 3tsp Chinese Five Spice
• Groundnut Oil
• 500ml frozen peppers
• 227g can Del Monte Pineapple Chunks in Juice, drained and juice reserved
• 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• Salt & Pepper to taste
• 1tsp cornflour
• 1tsp water
• Rice / noodles to serve.

Bereiding:

1)Toss the pork strips and the Five Spice powder together in a food bag. 2)Heat the groundnut oil in a large non stick pan. Add the seasoned pork and cook for three minutes. 3)Add the frozen peppers and cook for two more minutes. 4)Add the pineapple chunks, the juice, ketchup and soy sauce. Bring to the boil, then simmer for two minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. 5)In a mug or a cup, mix the cornflour with a little water until smooth. Stir into the pork and pineapple mixture. Simmer until the sauce has thickened, then season again and serve with rice or noodles as desired.
